  1. Winter season 2008:

-          The League fixtures are ready & will be sent this week to Committee & Captains to distribute to their teams & it will be posted on the DWFA website & League Republic.

-          The Winter Tournament is tentatively booked on Friday December 5th.

-          After the Spring Season 2009, we might be able to squeeze a mini season before the pitches close in July 2009.

  1. Registration:

-          Registration Fees has increased from AED 50 to AED 100 per player.

-          Registration will start on Saturday September 27th at 19:00 for Division 1 & 2 and new players. All players need to be registered (sign and pay) before they play their 1st match.

-          Kat, Nehal & Kim will handle Registration on Saturday September 27th.

-          The League Fees are AED 2,833 (inclusive of pitches & referees fees)

-          The deadline for paying the fees is extended from Saturday October 4th to Saturday October 11th.

  1. Transfers / New Players:

-          Final team lists need to be sent to Kat by Captains by Thursday September 25th.

-          Division 1 needs roughly 10 new players and Division 2 needs roughly 20 new players. New players will be dealt with on a first come first serve basis.

-          The next alternative date for new players’ training is Saturday October 11th. The aim is to get the allocations of new players by the 1st week of October.

  1. Publicity:

-          We are currently in Time Out & What’s On.

-          Potential publicity opportunities are in Four Four Two Magazine, Explorer, Connector & Dubai One.

  1. Website:

-          Team photos are still not uploaded. Captains are encouraged to send their team photos to Jennifer.

-          There might be some legal issues with regards to posting pictures especially of the school girls. So a disclaimer needs to be placed on the website plus it can be added to the DWFA code of conduct.

-          The website company wants to charge us to give us the flexibility to make changes to the website. Jennifer to contact Michelle Forrest to help clarify website procedures.

-          Jennifer has posted on the website our publicity listings so far & the charity donation of end of last season.

-          A suggestion was made to start a Facebook page for the League & it is possible if somebody is willing to take the time to manage it.

  1. AOB:

-          BSBG need a coach.

-          CPAL asked if it is possible for Division 2 to replace the big goals with the small ones. Maybe we will give it a try in the Winter Tournament to see if it works.

-          AQR1 to contact Chris Brown with regards to setting up a small table for HP to display their laptops on Tuesday’s nights.

-          Use of bad language in both Divisions has increased & teams need to be informed to refrain from that. Also, referees can point that out to players on match nights.

-          In training nights, some teams take up too much pitch space. There needs to be some co-operation from the coaches. A suggestion was made if teams want to invest in portable goals since there are not enough goals for all the teams. Contact Jack if interested in portable goals.

-          A suggestion to ease the crowded pitches on training nights is to post a timing schedule for teams that will change every week. So half of the teams train from 7:30-8:30 & the other half trains from 8:30-9:30. We will assess the tightness this season and perhaps change it for the next.
