DWFA Committee Meeting Minutes 19th February 2008

1. Teams

  • Pink Ladies and Dubai College will be moving up from Division 2.
  • Soccer Dubai will be staying in Division 1

 

2. WinterTournament

  • Date – 29th Feb, Timings 10am -4pm last game. 11am Kick off Matches
  • Code of Conduct will be sent to all Captains before the tournament and will receive a copy on the day also.
  • New players/Non Registered players at the tournament will need to Pay Registration Fee of 50 AED
  • Registered Players will be asked to pay 20 AED each towards DWFA
  • No raffle will be taking place at the Tournament, all prizes will be kept on hold by captains for the End of year social.
  • The Committee’s Personal CD’s are welcome for music at the tournament

 

3. New Social Officer Nominees

  • Social Officer needs to be appointed, email to be distributed to all Captains.

 

4. New Treasurer Nominee

  • Maria is stepping down as Treasurer, new appointment to be found, email distributed to all Captains

 

5. Spring Season 2008

  • Fixture List has been made, season March – June playing through Easter break. But the 3 teams that are concerned about not having enough players to field the team during the Easter period need to contact the committee before the first game of the season with the list of players who will be unavailable.

 

DWFA rules and regulations clearly state that a game can only be forfeited if a team has less than 5 players available.

 

Any fixtures that cannot be fulfilled during the Easter period (1st April – 16th April) may be rescheduled providing that the DWFA has been informed by March 5th and both teams agree to reschedule the fixture.

 

As we have 1 pitch available on a Wednesday night, games can be rescheduled to this time or played at an alternative venue (approved by the DWFA). Please note that the DWFA will not bare the cost of games played at an alternate venue.

 

6. New Players Assessment

  • Captains need to send updated team lists to the Committee

 

7. Player Allocation

  • 2 New players have been assigned to the Arabian Leopards Charlie Parrots
  • Other new players are to be allocated after Monday 25th Feb

 

8. Committee’s action plan

  • All Committee/Chairpersons – email to be sent to all Captains to find new appointments for Social Officer and Treasurer and everyone to help find new appointments
  • Chairpersons – Notify new changes on the Web site with help of Philippa
  • Chairpersons – Distribute Communication to Referee’s to keep them updated
  • Chairpersons – Email to be sent for Consideration for all players/Coaches for Pitch space during the first few weeks of Training
  • Secretary – Code of Conduct for the Winter Tournament to be given to all Captains at Registration Desk
  • Chairperson/Secretary – Nominate Photographers for the Winter Tournament, photos to be used to update the Web Site

 

9. Publicity

  • Kat to continue liaising with Philippa and new photos on the Web Site
  • Radio – Jack to contact Local Radio, and liaise for possible Radio slot

 

10. Next Season

  • Jebel Ali wants to increase our Season rates.  New budget to be planned.
