About the committee
The committee controls and manage the affairs of the association. The committee has the power to do all things as appear to the committee to be necessary or desirable for the proper management of the affairs of the association.
The committee consists of:

Publicity Officer – Lisa Buschek
Website Coordinator – Michelle Forrest
Social Officers – Rebecca & Jessica Prelle
Referee Coordinator - Ray Nickson
In the event of a casual vacancy occurring in the make up of the committee, the committee reserves the right to appoint a new member from the association to fill the vacancy.
Membership
Every player must apply for membership through the Committee. Membership forms can be obtained from the Membership section on our website or the Secretary and must be submitted to the Secretary. Membership costs AED100 per year. The sum is non-refundable even in the event of withdrawal from the association.
Representation of the DWFA
Any representation of the DWFA may only be done by members of the Committee or by approval of the Committee.
Annual General Meetings
The association must convene an Annual General Meeting of its members at least once in the calendar year. The secretary must inform all members of the association of the fixed date for the AGM two weeks in advance.
The business of the AGM will include the following:
· To receive from the committee reports on the activities of the association during the past year
· To elect office bearers of the association for the next year
Election of members
· Nominations for election as office bearers of the association must be made by filling in the nomination forms available form the secretary seven days before the election takes place
· If insufficient nominations are received, further nominations will be received at the AGM
· If the number of nominations exceeds the number of vacancies, a ballot will be held
Voting
A member only has one vote. All votes must be given personally. In the case of an equality of votes, the chairperson of the meeting is entitled to exercise a second or casting vote.
Special General Meetings
On the requisition in writing of at least 20% of the total number of members, the committee must convene a special general meeting of the association. The requisition must be signed by the members making it and must state the purpose of the meeting.
