About DWFA
The DWFA provides a platform for women to play football competitively by running two league seasons each year and a Winter Sevens one day tournament.
There are currently 15 teams in the league with two divisions. The First division consists predominantly of more experienced players and is highly competitive and the Second division consists of a mixture of experienced players and new players who are just starting to develop their football skills and is less competitive.
Matches take place at the Jebel Ali Centre of Excellence, in the Jebel Ali Shooting Club. Teams train once a week on Monday nights from 19:00 until 20:30 and play one match per week on either a Tuesday or Wednesday night.
No experience is necessary to join the league as we have very good coaches who will help to develop the necessary skills. However we do ask that players maintain some degree of commitment, as football is a team game.
